Meet The Founder

My name is Arielle Feggins and I am the founder of Alabama Center for Individual & Family Therapy, LLC. I am an Associate Licensed Counselor supervised by Tia Harden, and created ACIFT to serve as a safe place where individuals, couples, and families can increase their quality of life and emotional and mental health status. I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctoral Level certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. My goal is to utilize interventions that have been proven to make changes in order to serve the clients that I work with.
I have worked extensively with adolescents/teens and their families as a former school-based therapist, and with individuals as a trauma therapist.
More about me:
I am a native of Chicago, IL, but should now be considered an honorary southern bell. I love to learn and am a firm believer that there is always something more to know. I love tacos and coffee and spending time with family.

I have worked extensively with adolescents/teens and their families as a former school-based therapist. I also have extensive work as a trauma therapist for clients who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or any other traumatic experiences. I am not an "and how does that make you feel" cliche therapist. My goal is to assist you or your loved one in overcoming challenges and viewing things from a different perspective. In my sessions, the client is the expert. There is no one that knows what works and does not work for you better than YOU! We will work as a team as you work diligently toward your goals.

Meet Therapist Kaylee
LMSW

My name is Kaylee Newton and I am a therapist at Alabama Center for Individual and Family Therapy, LLC. I received my Bachelor and Master degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama (roll tide) and am a licensed Master Level Social Worker. I decided from a young age to pursue this field and never looked behind me! I have always been passionate about mental health and believe all people should have equal access to mental health care and deserve to feel seen, heard, and loved.
During my education I was able to work several years with people experiencing homelessness at a shelter as well as those struggling with drug and alcohol misuse at a primary healthcare clinic. I have also had the opportunity to work with children in the foster care system in North Alabama. Following graduation, I got on a plane to Indonesia where I spent a few months volunteering with different organizations.
During my free time I’m either hanging out with friends, traveling, going to a thrift store, eating spicy food, or *trying* to learn a new skill. Most of all, I have always loved meeting new people. Nothing is cooler than meeting a person who lived a completely different life than me but seeing how as humans we still share common feelings and desires. I truly believe every person is unique and can offer so much to the world. I’m grateful and excited to be a part of ACIFT and get to know so many new faces and hear people’s stories, and grow as a person and clinician along the way!
